Sometimes the road to redemption begins with a childhood wish


The road ahead was closed. St. Peter's phone chimed. He listened briefly before turning to his passenger.

The billionaire's daughter had just died in a car crash. She flicked through the limousine's infotainment system but could only access world events—wars, famines, things she'd never really seen.

"We're turning back," St. Peter said. "Order from above."

"There must be some mistake." She frowned.

"There isn't. It was something you said as a child. You wanted to send water to children in Africa."

"But I didn't know their favourite brand," she finished.

St. Peter smiled. "Now you do."

She heard paramedics.
